How To Develop More Self Confidence - It Can Change Your Life.

From the desk of Anthony Buchalka.

Hi and welcome to today's discussion about 'confidence'.

Some people radiate with self confidence don’t they?

I mean you can tell the minute they walk into a room that they are confident and feel positive about themselves. Their confidence makes them shine, and it draws people to them.

If you are like me, you want to know what makes someone confident and want to know some simple tips that can help someone become MORE confident.

I have spent the last 9 and a half years years studying successful people and guess what is the one thing is that they all have in common?

You guessed it…….. CONFIDENCE, an abundance of it. So it's a very worthwhile topic to discuss.

Tips on Becoming More Self Confident

Most people enjoy being around self confident people because they make others feel good about themselves. The energy around their lives is positive, and other people want to enjoy that kind of light, too. Self confident people also have a greater likelihood of success. That's a proven fact!

It isn’t necessarily that people would rather hire confident people, though that may be true. People who have a lot of self confidence in themselves tend to believe they can achieve based on their abilities.

If you are one of those people who do not have a lot of self confidence, improving your self confidence is worth the effort.

==> Building self confidence will improve your life in so many ways.

You will start to understand that you can achieve literally whatever you want and reach your goals. When you lack self confidence, you lack the ability to understand this.

Here are some tips for building self confidence.

The best thing to remember is that when you go through this process, gaining self confidence may not be an overnight thing. It takes a while to finally get yourself in the place where you want to be.

But with hard work and dedication, it will happen!

Embrace the journey of improving your self confidence.

Developing self confidence is a journey, and depending on how you approach it, it can be a fun journey.

In the quest for how to build self confidence, you may realize that unless you are enjoying yourself, you won’t make any improvements. It is best to enjoy the process as best you can. Yes, it may be hard at time because you will have to face certain parts of yourself that you may not want to face.

But that’s just all part of the process. If you embrace all stages of the journey, you will see results a lot quicker.

Know your strengths when building self confidence.

One thing you need to do on the quest on how to build self confidence is to understand what your strengths are.

If you have a good feeling for what you do well, you can begin to understand how to maximize these things. You want to draw attention to the things you do well without seeming overbearing.

Know your weaknesses in developing  self confidence as well.

Another essential skill on building your confidence is that you need to know what your weaknesses are.

Yes, knowing what you don’t do well can be devastating to your self esteem. But this is only if you let it. A self confident person is one who knows their weaknesses and isn’t bothered by them. Besides, if you understand what you don’t do well, you can know not to draw attention to these things.

Keep a journal of your confidence building.

One of the best tips for building self confidence is to keep a journal. Believe me this really helps.

Throughout the day, write down anything that comes to mind pertaining to things that you do well. For example, if you had a good conversation with your boss about your performance that day, write it in the journal. If you got a compliment on your new hair cut, write that down as well. At the end of the day, review what you wrote.

Seeing all of these positive things can really help build your self confidence. Gaining self confidence is sometimes all about developing a feedback system. Keeping a journal is simply all about building your own personal feedback system.

Ask others.

Ask others what they think of you. The key to developing self confidence knows that others can view you in a positive way. Once you understand that others think you are special, you will understand that it is not worth it to not have confidence. Your confidence will build and grow as you realize that people perceive you differently than you perceive yourself.

How you perceive yourself.

The way you perceive yourself may be the thing that is holding you back from developing self confidence. If you don’t think highly of yourself, how will others? On the other hand, if you recognize your good qualities and see yourself as worthy of attention and praise, others will see you this way as well. It will help peoples’ opinions of you increase and when it does, that will help fuel your self confidence more.

Don’t overdo it.

There is such a thing as taking self confidence too far.

The people who do this are generally considered somewhat arrogant. If you overdo it, you will be one of these. There is a fine line between confidence and arrogance. If you cross it, people will not perceive you how you want to be perceived.

They will view you as insecure, or rather the exact opposite of confident. But know that if you simply understand that you are worth attention and praise, then you will achieve your goal of self confidence because other people won’t think you are arrogant. It's when you draw too much attention to yourself that people have this perception.

So get on out there and start being the 'new' you. You really can be more confident.

All the best.

warmly,
