How To Develop Motivation

From the clean for a change desk of Anthony Buchalka

Welcome to my next installment on Motivation!

Motivation has become a bit of a buzz word lately hasn't it? But is it all that it is cracked up to be?

Well frankly yes it is! Motivation is absolutely vital if we, or our loved ones (such as our children), are to achieve any degree of success in our lives.

How To Develop Motivation

Well, motivation truly is one of the pillars of success. However, so many of us do not have strong self motivation. This is a shame because without it, it is very hard to be successful in life. Activities such as goal setting, and business success, keeping our homes clean, self help motivation, and exercising require a large amount of motivation.

If you or someone close you are one of those who have trouble getting motivated, you could possibly use some self motivation tips. Some people feel that inspiration and motivation go together. When someone feels inspired, it gives them the motivation to take action. Then, to teach someone how to have motivation is one thing, but to give them the inspiration is quite another. Self motivation, as the name implies, needs to come from within, but the principals can be learned.

Here are some self motivation tips that will help give the inspiration and motivation needed to change:

Why motivation? Without motivation, it will be hard to reach your goals. It is one thing to set the goals, it is quite another to actually have the self motivation to carry them through isn't it?. If you don’t have the motivation, goals become merely sentences. Without action, these sentences hold no meaning. Simply put, if you want to be a success, you need the self help motivation to carry it through.

That is why learning valuable self motivation tips is so important.

Finding inspiration. A great first step to finding your inner motivation is to find out what inspires you. Since inspiration and motivation go together, if you surround yourself with things that inspire you, then the motivation will follow. Here are some tips that will help inspire you:

Inspiring quotes. Some people find inspiring quotes to be uplifting and motivating. Quotes about success, achieving your goals, and living the life you desire can all inspire you into action. Find a book of quotes and write down ones that interest you and post them in prominent places. Or purchase a desk calendar that is filled with inspiring quotes.

Nature. Nature can also bring about inspiration and motivation. Some writers, for example, feel as if they do their best writing when surrounded by nature. Nature, then, is a big key to their personal self motivation. Since they know this, they schedule time in their schedules to be in nature so they can reap the benefits.

Art and music. A lot of people also find art and music to be very inspiring and motivating. Surround yourself with art you enjoy and listen to inspiring music. These things can help propel you into action and give you a chance to increase your own motivation.

Personal inspiration. It helps to find your own sense of personal motivation and inspiration. What inspires you? Some people find inspiration in strange places, others find them in simple places. The point is to find out what that inspiration is and to make sure you make time for it.

Exercise. Maintaining a set exercise program can do a lot to help enhance your personal sense of self help motivation. Exercise brings a lot of people clarity. Sometimes, people don’t feel motivated because they haven’t been taking care of themselves. Exercise increases self esteem and simply makes you feel good, which can help with your motivation.

Make time. Sometime, all you need to do to develop motivation is to set time in your schedule to make things happen. Some people don’t have the motivation to take action because they feel as if they lack time. When you take out your calendar and block out chunks of time to make things happen, this can help you be successful.

What do you need? When considering which self motivation tips to use, consider what it is you need. Do you need to find the motivation to get to the gym to lose weight? How about the motivation to achieve your financial goals? No matter what it is you need to do, write it down. Then, you can brainstorm ways that will help you get motivated. Sometimes all you need is clarity and focus.

Manage stress. Another thing that can hurt your personal sense of self motivation is being under a lot of stress. It stands to reason then that if you eliminate your stress or at least learn to manage it that this could go a long way to helping you with your self help motivation. This is probably one of the most self motivation tips because stress can really cloud your judgment. You need to feel as if you are mentally in control in order to achieve your goals.

Self motivation. Self motivation is something that some people seem to just radiate. Others need to work at it. Factors such as stress and failure to focus can harm your sense of motivation. You also need to find inspiration because often inspiration and motivation work together. If you do all these things, you will eventually learn how to stop procrastinating and start achieving.

It may be helpful for you to consider a motivational program of some kind. One of the best on the market is the Goal Achiever Program developed by my mentor Bob Proctor, who was featured heavily on 'The Secret' DVD.

I myself purchased this product and still use it regularly as I find it invaluable for getting motivated and connected with my potential.

All the best for now.
